After a couple of visits to the Saulnier showroom and one visit for them to measure our space, we sent in a deposit and requested that they install a specific week (my wife and children would be out of town that week). Paul Saulnier worked with the mill to ensure the wood would be available that week. He came by a few days in advance to review what we would need to do in order to prepare (move out furniture, refrigerator, etc.). All the work happened quickly and just as Paul said it would. There was a minor issue when the subfloors were not at the same level that and Paul solved the issue the same day. Paul was very available by phone or email to answer all of my questions along the way. All in all, a very good experience. Most importantly, the new floor looks GREAT!

Something to keep in mind: When hiring contractors always consider their experience and references. Saulnier has a very good reputation because they have the experience to anticipate problems and suggest solutions. Scheduling was easy and they were flexible when our schedule changed on short notice. This was one of our best experiences with a contractor to date.
